Elizabeth Beu BourgeoisFounder/Director
Elizabeth Beu Bourgeois, M.S., ATR-BC, LPC/MHSP is a Board Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Services Provider designation. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor Concentration in Visual Arts from Loyola University New Orleans and a Master of Science in Art Therapy from Florida State University. In 2024, she opened Tennessee Art Therapy and Counseling to help others achieve personal growth.
She has experience providing art therapy and counseling services to a wide variety of clients ranging from children, adolescents and their families dealing with emotional, mental, developmental, and behavioral disorders to adults experiencing issues with depression, anxiety, infertility and dementia. While she has a general practice, she specializes in Telehealth art therapy and counseling with an emphasis on problem solving, communication, self expression, emotional awareness, decision- making, and coping skills. Her approach also incorporates crisis prevention and intervention, strengths- based work, and calming techniques to support clients’ emotional regulation and resilience. She values a collaborative therapeutic relationship and works alongside clients (and, when appropriate, their families) to navigate life changes, increase self-understanding, and develop practical tools that support meaningful growth and positive movement forward.
Elizabeth was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. he attended college in New Orleans and lived there for nearly 20 years before returning to Tennessee in 2024 to be closer to family.
Outside of her clinical work, Elizabeth enjoys home renovation projects, creative problem-solving, art, cooking, planning, traveling, and spending time with her family.
